One of the biggest problems in Basic Security Training (BST) is the limited teaching of subjects such as note taking, report writing, evidence preservation, courtroom testimony, communication, or any one of the many other subjects taught to police. These subjects aren't available through any schools, except the Justice Institute of BC. It doesn't help that the BC Government doesn't require it. This knowledge would make the security officer more professional, perhaps on the same level as Special Provincial Constables.
Our seminars are not a replacement for government courses. They are designed to raise the level of competency for those seeking a law enforcement career. Continued training only improves those in the possession of it, and gives them the ability to maintain a high level of skills and expertise.
If your interest is to be an industry professional, take that step and move beyond your peers.
